The Roman Forum is considered one of the most iconic ancient structures in the world. You have a chance to stroll through streets and structures that are centuries old. It is a walk that will bring to life all the stories you have ever read in history about Roman living. Some amazing attractions within the forum include Circus Maximus, Arch of Titus and Trajan Column, among others.

The Colosseum stands out among the markers of Roman Empire existence. Though its history is bloody and lengthy, it attracts over four million visitors every year. It has an estimated capacity of 50,000 people and has witnessed some of the bloodiest and gladiatorial fights in history. It was also a venue for excellent animal fights.

There is an iconic collection of sculptures that are a representation of the four major rivers in the world. The Vatican tops in the category of places to visit in this city. This architectural masterpiece by Bernini takes the shape of an embracing hand. It also features numerous museums with interesting world and religious history. The Sistine chapel is an amazing attraction alongside the Raphaels Rooms, antique structures and old master paintings. The Castle SantAngelo offers a glimpse of where popes hid during sieges.
